TL;DR
Got an order of NOS 2N3569 Motorola NPN silicon transistors in! Let's check out and display the range of gain and voltage/leakage measurements to see how worthy they might be for drop-in replacement(s) for some upcoming pedal builds!
Transistors
I got the following transistor(s) in, all silicon TO-39:
- 2N3569
I sadly "todays internet" struck out finding any sort of good, direct reference material on this transistor. I've had great luck with NOS Motorola can's, and the price was right!
The HFE range, at glance, seemingly would make a great first or second stage of some Silicon transistor fuzz and/or overdrive circuit. I might even try them as drop-in replacement(s) for input/output buffer(s) as well. Before getting too far ahead in thought, I'll drop them in a range master circuit or something very isolated to see how it fairs, audibily.
