TL;DR
After some accumulated dog years of life, I have come around full circle (again) to start (yet another) blogging platform to contribute to in thought, word and deed.
Let's get to it, shall we?
A Bit of History
My first (half serious) blogging outlet was using the project news page of my first open source project, Fd Linux, which was a 3.5" floppy disk Linux distribution I put together in my late teenage years and loosely maintained until very early 20's.
I'm not sure I ever had a serious "posting" goal in mind, even though it was dedicated to the small-time distribution development and maintenance effort. At the time, it was just a place I was posting "stuff', so why not extend the idea? To be completely honest, I don't think the word and definition 'blog' was ubiquitously used and thrown around yet.
The second (more serious) attempt at an all-thoughts blog I conveniently chose to put on blogger.com. I got sucked into the "Big Tech" convenience at that time in my life, and conversely, it's what I immediately needed: a place to share thoughts and post with ease.
I kept up the blogspot existence from circa 2006 to around 2013, then sadly trailing off with barely headlining even a singular annual post up until 2018.
Enter 'The 'Now'
This time around, I'm personally vested in using this blog, primarily, in a few ways:
First off, I'm out of the being-the-product (if I ever was one to begin with on "the internet" with the "big whatevers"). I want to manage my own digital presence, as digitally antiquated as it may be or come across, as much as I can or am capable of with as much of it as I can control.
Secondly, everyone needs a non-intrusive, no-ad, non-tracking, non-bloaty, non-app, non-product, non-social-media web-1.0-like platform to self-promote all the life non-sense, technical and non-technical, I do in a very humble, intellectual yet useful, transferable and in an anti-braggadocios manner.
Lastly, to make the internet, well... "the internet" again.
The first and second points speak for themselves.
Let's acknowledge the gravity of it: Landscapes and utility of "the internet" have certainly irrevocably changed, been capitalized and absurdly abused for profit, gain and worse. I think we can all largely agree on that generalized fact.
So, what does that last part mean, exactly? Philosophically speaking, getting back to how "the internet" for many of us should have continued to be: The genuine sharing of practically anything that would be considered first hand experience or knowledge of any kind digitally from an actual human being. If anyone happens to stumble upon and find it of use or interest? Mission accomplished. If not? That's cool, too.
Depending on the audience reading this --- big, news flash: this really is "your dads" internet blog --- there will be no way to "interact and socialize" with me (or you) or anyone else on this blog according to today's standards.
Why the Stance, Man? Keep Reading
The cardinality of consumption of this blog will always largely remain 1:many and very, distinctly unidirectional for a very obvious-to-me set of reasons:
Sadly, from my world view, the many shortages of shining tangibles and intangibles left in our world today will continually be outnumbered by the endless surplus of toxicity, agendas, pitchforks, torches, rotten cabbages and tomatoes along with the fervor of human execution on them that outpaces any consistent replenishment effort.
A less word-smithed, more layman's way to echo the same thing: there's just far too many opinionated, oppressive, desecrating hecklers in the shape of a keyboard that have sucked far too much energy from any form of displayed effort in the anamorphism as it pertains to a twisted definition of "opinion".
Including those very "opinions", there are a lot of things that are lumped into today's societal category of "free"; however, my attention to entertain them or provide a platform for doing so is not.
Compounded by "social media conditioning", the meaning and intra-personal depth has been stripped out of most communication, request, reply and response.
In addition to the unwarranted "free opinion", very rarely does anyone truly write, say or contribute anything of value, truth, objectivity, sincerely or knowledge unless is can be overtly "monetized" or directly furthers an immediate self or side-hustle end-game with it.
Start Communication Over Again
Words still mean something.
Let's all play a part to not cheapen and reduce conversation and knowledge into low vibrational canon fodder fired over the bow of today's sinking "internet" ship condensed into pick-your-platform's character limitation standards, gifs or the "thumbs up" emoji.
There's no better time than now to productively and positively regress back to an era (not so long ago) where the intimacy in literacy and formulation of conversation with the written 'word' was a world-shaking art form.
Lastly, we all have a choice to choose our 'words', not just in the form of a concatenating literal standpoint of comprehension.
Let's also do our very best to uplift, provide encouragement and direction, interweave positivity, kindness and genuine sincerely back into the communication process as well.

Worst Case Scenario (Full Disclaimer)
If it ever comes to a boiling-point for you that merely agreeing-to-disagree on my opinions, thoughts and words isn't enough and must become tangible for you (the unreasonable, blinded disagreer), do so here.
However, do keep in mind that should you reach that point, the results of your tell-me-how-it-is effort may very well manifest into future blog material that could resurrect the ahead-of-its-time late 90's / early 2000's idea of publicly posted hate mail.
